I have never made yogurt before and this was a super easy process. The second time I made ( Greek) yogurt it came out extra thick, and creamy, as I cooked it to 180 instead of 160 degrees. We mix it with a lil honey and it's delicious. Remember to save a little bit for next time! Would recommend!
Simple, and effective, way to make yogurt. There are bones electronics. Keeps even temperature over the yogurt making period. Timer consists of a dial which tells you how many hours of operation you want when you started the procedure. However, there is no automatic shut off so you have to remember what time you started the process. In addition, no on off switch so you turn it on by plugging it in and turn it off by pulling the plug. Simple machine when it could be just a little bit more useful with the addition of a timer and an on off switch. Would be a better buy at half the price. Nice color.
This is my second yogurt maker. I liked the old system better: The container would hold a full half gallon of milk, and, while plastic instead of glass, had a lid that matched the outer dimensions of the container. Thus it was much easier to clean. I am using my old container in the warmer. I'll probably give the new container to my sister, in case she breaks hers.
I'm learning. My first batch failed. I then found and followed only Cultures for Health directions and had success with Greek Yogurt. The quality of the product makes it worth the time investment.
Have use a few times and greek yogurt is excellent
