Naturally gelatinous, agar powder is derived from marine red algae and is a great vegetarian substitute for beef gelatin to thicken foods. Add to soups, jellies, and even yogurt!

  • HOW TO USE YOUR AGAR POWDER
    Use to Thicken Homemade Yogurt
  • For every 3-4 cups milk, dissolve ½ teaspoon powdered agar into the milk.
  • Heat to 190 degrees F and hold for 10 minutes.
  • Cool to culturing temperature and add culture.

  • Use as a Vegan Substitute for Gelatin
  • Dilute 2 Tbsp of Agar Powder in 1 pint of water or fruit juice.
  • Cook for 5 minutes and then add fruit or vegetables.
  • Pour into mold and refrigerate until hard.
