EVERY CULTURE WE MAKE IS FOOD-SAFETY TESTED.

Because it’s going on
your family’s table.

A MOM’S REASON. OUR STANDARD SINCE 2002.

It started with a simple question:
What am I feeding my children?

Cultures for Health was founded in 2002 by a single mom who wanted to feed her children the best food she could.

That care still shapes what we make. Food-safety testing is a meaningful investment, and one we keep making for the families who bring our cultures home.

FRESH CULTURE. FLOUR. WATER.

Your first loaf starts
with a living starter.

Your culture arrives fresh, not dehydrated. Feed it, watch it bubble and rise, then keep a little back for your next bake.

01

Feed your fresh starter.

Refrigerate on arrival and feed within 24 hours. Follow the enclosed guide for the first feed with all-purpose flour and water.

02

Watch for the rise.

Keep it loosely covered in a warm place. Follow the new guide’s feeds until your starter is bubbling regularly within a few hours. Readiness varies with your kitchen.

03

Bake. Save. Repeat.

Use active starter in your recipe, saving some to feed and maintain. With regular care, one starter keeps your baking going.

Endless® Fresh Sourdough Starter Culture$14.95

Fresh starter questions, answered.

Is this fresh or dehydrated?

This is one fresh sourdough starter culture, not a dehydrated packet. It needs prompt feeding on arrival; a jar and tools are not included.

What do I do when it arrives?

Refrigerate immediately and feed within 24 hours, following the Endless Fresh guide. The guide is the reference for fresh-starter handling, rather than dry-culture storage advice.

When can I bake?

Follow the fresh-starter guide and feed until the starter is bubbling regularly within a few hours. Temperature, flour and other factors affect readiness, so there is no guaranteed bake-ready deadline.

What are the ingredients and allergens?

Organic white wheat flour and live active cultures. Contains wheat and gluten. Manufactured in a facility that processes products containing gluten. Labeled Non-GMO.

What supplies do I need?

All-purpose flour, chlorine- and fluoride-free water, a quart-size glass jar, breathable cover, rubber band and a stainless-steel, silicone or wooden spoon.

How do I keep it going?

Follow the guide for room-temperature feeding cues, refrigerated maintenance and refreshing before baking. Its refrigerated maintenance section calls for feeding at least monthly.

Where are the full instructions?

Read the new Endless® Fresh Sourdough Instructions. Follow the fresh-starter steps and readiness cues in the guide.
