Ingredients To Make Yogurt Marinade For Chicken

  • 2 cups of yogurt. We used Matsoni, but you can use whatever kind you like!
  • ¼ cup of hot sauce mash. Hot sauce mash is the leftover part of the chopped peppers and vegetables after you strain the fermented hot sauce. This is what adds the kick to your chicken yogurt marinade.
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • 2 lbs of chicken breast

How to Make Yogurt Marinade For Chicken

The first step to making your yogurt marinade for chicken is to combine all the ingredients! Be sure to mix very well to ensure all the ingredients are properly combined.

Next, slice your chicken into strips. These strips should be about an inch thick each. Cutting the chicken into slices instead of keeping the breast whole will allow the marinade to sink deep into the chicken, making it tasty inside and out.

After your chicken is cut into 1-inch strips, it's time to marinate your chicken in the yogurt marinade for 1 to 4 hours. We recommend waiting the whole 4 hours so you can really taste the spiciness.

The last step is to cook your chicken! We pan-seared our chicken for our own recipe, but it is completely up to the chef to cook their chicken however they like.
